WHAT DOES TERI DYES DO

We retail Dyes for Flax, for Animal Fibres and for Cotton to the Craftspeople of New Zealand, freighting all over NZ.  If we can, we assist customers who want items dyed. We publish introductory guides. We sell basic  chemicals needed for dyeing wool, silk and cotton using our dyes.

Weavers, Spinners and Carders, Felters and Quilters, Silk-workers, Kete-makers and Flower-makers and Flax workers

We supply individuals, guilds, groups, training institutes and a handful of retailers.

FLAX DYES

PHORMALAN DYES are effective easy-to-use liquid dyes for flax, raffia, and other similar fibres. Just put flax in water, heat to the boil and add dye and watch. Rinse, enjoy.

Colours (18)

Black, Blue, Bright Green, Bright Yellow, Forest Green, Golden Yellow, Magenta, Maroon, Mid Brown, Mint Green, Mod Red, Orange, Peacock Blue, Purple, Red, Soft Green, Turquoise and Yellow. Users can easily mix other colours themselves.

Prices: NB Courier freight is additional

Bottles: 250ml = $10, 500ml = $15.00, 1L = $22.50, 2 L=$35.

WOOL DYES

For wools, silks, alpaca, mohair, feathers, possum, and other animal fibres.

 

Sizes  25g, 50g, 100g, 200g, 500g or 1kg.

Prices Most are $10-$12 for 25gm, and $18-$20 for 50gm. Some colours cost more.

Acid Dyes for Wool & Silk: 29 shades

Simple to use. Excellent light and wash fastness. Ideal for hot dyeing of fleece or of spun fibre, using acetic acid. Easy to blend colours to get the shades you need. Also suitable for nylon.

 

Fibre Reactive Dyes for Wools & Silk

The 15 shades of this range are ideal for cold dying. E.g. Presoak the fibre in Teri Dyes Wool Base Solution, then drip, brush, spray, pour, paint or soak on the dye solution to get the effect desired… then wrap and leave in a warm  place to fix... or steam or microwave or…

COTTON  DYES

for cottons, linen, silk, rayon, chenille

for embroidery threads & quilting fabrics

Sizes  25g, 50g, 100g, 200g, 500g or 1kg.

 

Procion Fibre Reactive dyes 14 shades

Procions for cotton & other plant fibres can be used with cold or hot dyeing methods. All 25gm pottles cost $8, and all 50gm are $12.00.

 

DRIMARENE Fibre Reactive dyes 17 shades

Drimarene modern dyes can be used with hot or cold methods.  

Prices: most are $10-$12 for 25gm, and $16-$20 for 50gm. Some colours cost a little more.
