Welcome to Teri Dyes.

We sell dyes for cotton, animal fibers and flax.

We retail dyes to the craftspeople of New Zealand – weavers, spinners and carders, felters and quilters, silk-workers, kete-makers, flower-makers and flax workers. If we can, we assist customers who want items dyed. We publish introductory guides. And we sell basic chemicals needed for dyeing wool, silk and cotton using our dyes.

We supply individuals, guilds, groups, training institutes and a handful of retailers.

DYES FOR FLAX

The dyes that we sell for flax are called Phormalans. We do the mixing, bottling and labelling – we are the supplier, and own the brand name. See our Flax Dyes page here.

DYES FOR ANIMAL FIBRES

The two ranges of dyes for wools and silks that Teri Dyes sells are called (i) Acid Dyes) and (ii) Fibre Reactive Dyes. Acid dyes are chosen mostly by those who want to change the colour of animal fibre from existing shade A to new shade B and where the evenness of the new colour is important. See our Animal Fibre Dyes page here.

DYES FOR COTTON

We sell dyes for cottons, linen, silk, rayon, chenille for embroidery threads & quilting fabrics. See our Cotton Dyes page here.
